In the days of scorching heat, Rabindra Jayanti came as a cool gust of breeze in Jewish Girls' School. It was a compact program of 1 hr 15 mins, where not only the students but also the teachers participated. It began with a Tagore's song "Dhanilo aahobhan..." paying tribute to the great poet.
Students of classes IV & V performed 'Amal Doi Wallah' and students from classes VII & VIII performed on the mock ballad 'Juta Aavishkar'. Dazzling dance performances were there on the songs of Tagore by the girls of classes III, V, VII, IX. It was a marvellous program altogether.
