Guiding & Bulbuls in Jewish Girls' School
Guiding is universally recognized as the World's Largest Youth Movement. Today 150 countries and over 10 million members belong to the Guide Movement. It began and grew on sound principles which are designed to guide young girls to become, 'Healthy, Happy and Helpful' citizens. Guiding was introduced in Jewish Girls' School in 1987. Since then it has been a very popular activity, under the guidance of trained Guiders.
Today our Girl Guides are learning many guiding skills from Miss Narayanswami(former District Commissioner of South Kolkata). Younger girls, between the ages of five and ten, form our Bulbul Flock. Flock Meetings are conducted by trained Flock leaders and such sessions are full of many interesting and enjoyable activities. Guide and Bulbul Meetings are held in school, every Friday, from 2 pm-3pm.
